The Windy Hill Senior Center has been serving the senior population for over 25 years from its former address at the West York Church of the Brethren and its current location in the Spring Grove Area Community Center in Spring Grove, PA. The center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The area of service includes, but is not limited to, North Codorus, Paradise, Jackson, Heidelberg, West Manheim and West Manchester Townships, as well as the Boroughs of Spring Grove, Jefferson, and New Salem. The current membership is over 500 individuals ages 60 years and older. The center offers daily social, educational and fitness programs in a variety of areas in addition to serving a hot nutritious meal at noon. The meal is available to anyone with a reservation one day before. There is no cost for the meal, however, a $1 donation is recommended. Rabbittransit also provides daily door-to-door service for members for a cost of $2 per day. A variety of other services are offered including tax preparation, PACE/PACENET application assistance and AARP Safe driver programs. Funding for Windy Hill is provided through fundraisers and donations.
